John’s Bio
I was very blessed to be raised by Christian parents who gave me the love and the Christian foundation I needed for where I am today. Like a lot of us, I struggled to stay on the path that God wants us to travel. It wasn’t until I met my wife, Sue, who brought me back into the church that I realized what was really missing in my life. Little did we know what God had in store for us. I hadn’t played a guitar in more than twenty five years when, one day in church, I was watching the praise leader and got to thinking that I would like to get it out and dust it off. Just Us was started by Sue and I singing in church and over the years it has turned into to something very special. I feel very blessed to be playing with the group we have and sharing the talent that God has given me for His honor and praise.
Favorite Bible Verse Philippians 4:13 “I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.”

Sue's Bio
My childhood was very stable and my parents loved me more than life. My mom made sure I attended Sunday School and Confirmation classes every week and we, as a family, worshiped God every Sunday. When I left home for college, however, my attention to my faith became less than first in life’s activities. It was not until I matured and married did I find myself back in church regularly. Since then, the Spirit of Christ has “taken hold of me!” I’m not particularly talented in the gift of music, but something marvelous happens when our gospel group, Just Us, sings for Jesus. Our ministry is growing and each time we sing for new and old audiences alike, we hear comments such as, “Nannie that singing last night was great wasn’t it?” Out of the mouth of babes……Jesus truly blesses! My prayers are for all those who hear His word, that they will serve and obey, for there is no other peace without Him.
Favorite Bible Verse John 3:16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

Goerge's Bio
John 9:4 - I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work. These were the words of the Lord Jesus as he personally spoke to my heart concerning the call of God in my life just two months after my conversion. I was ironically saved on my 33rd birthday. I was first born on February 13th, 1964, and gloriously born again on February 13th, 1997. I was called to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ sometime in April of the same year. I then announced my call to preach to the church on August 10th, 1997 of the same year. Little did I know where this journey would lead me. I now preach as a full time evangelist in the state prisons in Virginia. The Lord has allowed me to take my talents as a musician, by which I used to play in the "honkytonks", and now use them for His glory to play country gospel music with some of the greatest people in the world. I have a whole lot of acquaintances, but very few friends. Thank you John and Sue for being my friend. I mean after all, in the beginning there was John and Sue, now it's Just Us. It is through this gospel group that we are able to further the gospel of Jesus Christ through music that magnifies the Lord Jesus. This music encourages the saint, evangelizes the sinner, and exalts the Savior. Thank you Lord, and thank you John and Sue for allowing God to use Just Us through you. AMEN!! God bless! George (John 9:4)

As long as I can remember, country and bluegrass music, was always a part of my love for music especially gospel. I played many different styles of Christain music but I've always came back to the traditional gospel music. I was saved in 1980 but followed the wrong path for a long time. I renewed my faith and love in Jesus Christ in 2004. I have been blessed in so many ways by the Lord for the gifts of music and talent. The most recently sending me to John and Sue Pass and the gospel group "Just Us" Being blessed to be able to worship and play along such talent as John, Sue ,George, Tim, Mark, Brandon. Bobby and Suzanne.
Ps104:33 I will sing to the Lord as long as I live. I will sing praise to my God while I have my being.

Having a love for gospel music my whole life, when an opportunity came around to join John & Sue with “Just Us” it was a very easy fit. I truly enjoy spreading the good news of Jesus Christ thru our country gospel music. And I look forward to being a part of this group for as long as the Lord sees fit.

First of all allow me to thank you for permitting me to participate with you in your ministry. I consider it a privilege to join "Just Us" - you guys are all great!
I was raised attending church as a child but fell away at my earliest "opportunity". I lived a very worldly life through high school and college. I was drafted just after finishing college and ultimately spent a year in Vietnam, mostly with Special Forces. Many have heard of "foxhole" conversions, but that was not the case for me. I was resigned to never returning home and foolishly accepted the prospect of death without trepidation. However, the aftermath of my experiences there ultimately brought me to the Lord, whom I accepted as Lord and Savior in 1986. I am convinced that my grandmother's prayers for me in my youth were instrumental in bringing me to that point as well.
I was an avid musician in high school and college, playing professionally through my sophomore year in college. I had not played, to any extent, since that time - approximately 45 years - but music always remained
a "love of my life". Joining the group is definitely an answer to prayer, literally. You will never know how perfectly you fit my request to the Lord for an opportunity to play once again!

ROM 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose. (NKJV)

2COR 1:8 For we do not want you to be ignorant, brethren, of our trouble which came to us in Asia: that we were burdened beyond measure, above strength, so that we despaired even of life. (NKJV)

Brandon Noel's Bio
As a child, I was surrounded by the gospel of Jesus, My great-great-grandfather, Aubrey Nuckols was a church pastor of Emmanuel Holiness Church in Louisa County, I appreciated so much from my great-grandfather, Conway Nuckols, who lived to be 92 years old, he was a true lover of the Lord, and he was my example, to play and spread the gospel, most of my family members on my grandmother’s side were Gospel musicians, her and her sisters (my aunts) had performed for many years as a quartet. I was fascinated by something that my Grandmother had for years….An antique Winter & Company spinet piano, seeing my interest in that old piano, my grandma paid for me to take piano lessons at the age of ten, I unfortunately strayed away from it when I entered my high school years, and showed a bit of interest in playing guitar, I attended a Methodist church at the age of 29 where my uncle was senior pastor, I met a sweet spirit-filled music leader named Andi Jacobson who recruited me to sing tenor in her choir, and allowed me to do several solo songs, it was then that I sat back down at the piano, and ever since then, It has been a true blessing, at the age of 30, I came across a craigslist ad seeking a keyboard player for a country gospel group, where I met John and Sue Pass, as well as my other Just Us family members, George Smith, Mark Swineford, Bob Goolsby, and Tim Timberlake, and ever since then, I never felt more privileged to play with such talented musicians.

Tim Timberlake's Bio

I was raised in a strong Christian family. I am thankful and blessed to live in a time and place where I can praise God and Jesus through music.  I have played the drums for more than fifty years and been involved with many different bands and all varieties of music. About 12 years ago, I took my son to church for a youth group music practice and, as I listened, my only thought was “Lord they need help!” and that is how I started in praise band music.

I met John and Sue after I played for our 11:00 worship service one Sunday and they invited me to come for a Friday night band practice.  I have been with Just Us ever since that Friday night.

Favorite Bible verses, John 14: 1,2&3

Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.

In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. sAnd if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you onto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.

I was blessed to be raised in church and to have a family that truly loves me! I accepted Jesus as my Savior at a very young age, but wandered away from Him in my teen years. There were many tough times along the way, but at 18 years old and facing a crisis I gave my life back to Jesus. Things have not always been perfect, but God has continually poured out His love and given me such a heart for singing and for music. I thank Him for this opportunity to use the gifts that He has given me.

Psalm 34:18,
"The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit."
